About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

New Zealand passport holder transiting through China

Hello,

Am I able to get a 24h transit pass at Guangzhou south train station? I am planning to travel there from Hong Kong before boarding a flight to New Zealand at Guangzhou Baiyun airport on the same day. Could you also please let me know if there is any cost involved in obtaining this pass.

Thank you

New Zealand citizens can travel to mainland China, Guangzhou included, absolutely visa free for a stay of up to 15 days. Just to simplify, your travel to mainland China will be very similar to your trip to UK, for example. The only tiny difference is that you will have to fill out the arrival card in West Kowloon train station immigration section. Beside your passport and filled up arrival card, you do not need anything to perform your planned trip. Visas, visas on arrival and visa free transit stuff do not apply in your case. Please, be relaxed and enjoy your time.
