She does not need any kind of visa because her/your transit via China will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit.

If she plans to exit the airport, the first thing you will do upon landing in Chengdu is to approach 24/144 hour visa free transit counter where she will apply for a temporary entry permit by presenting her flight tickets and her hotel booking. Her chances to be granted a temporary entry permit are very good because this is a very long/overnight layover. This application is free of charge. You as Singaporean citizens do not need to perform all these formalities because you have right to visit China visa free.

When her permit is granted, she will head to the immigration and after that to the city and to the hotel for a good night rest. Have a nice journey.
