About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa for Nepali

Hi,
I have a nepalese passport and travelling to Nepal from Australia. My flight is in January with Layover of 14hrs in Guanzhou. My layover is from 5PM leading to 7AM next morning. Do I need a transit visa for it? Also, will I be eligible to head out of airport to get to a hotel or visit outside?

You do not need any kind of visa because your transit via China will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit.

If you plan to exit the airport, the first thing you will do upon landing in Guangzhou is to approach 24/144 hour visa free transit counter where you will apply for a temporary entry permit by presenting your flight tickets and your hotel booking. Your chances to be granted a temporary entry permit are very good because this is a overnight layover. This application is free of charge.

When your permit is granted, you will head to the immigration and after that to the city and to the hotel for a good night rest. Have a nice journey.
