About:Visa on Arrival

Is there a quota on daily visa on arrival?

I am a UK passport holder wishing to do a day trip to Shenzhen from Hong Kong on a saturday in October. I have heard that they only offer so many visas on arrival per day, and if they have used their quota for the day you will be turned around and sent back to Hong Kong if they have run out? Is this a common occurrence? What time do you need to arrive in order to ensure you get a visa on arrival.

If I wish to take the train from Hong Kong is the easiest port to pass through Shenzhen Luohu Port for a Visa on Arrival?

It really seems to be a daily quota, but that quota is usually enough to process the largest majority of visa applicants. In any case, it is highly advisable to be at the border crossing, Luohu preferably not later than 08:30 because the opening hours of Luohu visa office are from 09:00 until 16:00.

You can use a suburban train from Hong Kong to Lo Wu and walk through Luohu border crossing where you will apply and obtain your visa.

If you arrive on time at the border crossing you will be granted a visa almost certainly.
