About:Layover in Shanghai

traveling to Shanghai for a cruise

My son and I are traveling to Shanghai for a cruise. We arrive in Shanghai from Singapore on a Wednesday afternoon and the cruise sets sail on Friday afternoon. There will be stops in South Korea and Japan. The ship returns to port on Tuesday and we fly out on Wednesday with the first stop in Singapore. Will we need visas for our time in Shanghai?

No, you don't need a visa for the route. You are covered by the 144 visa free transit for the two stopovers in Shanghai.
