DO YOU NEED TO BOOK TICKETS IN ADVANCE
FOR d or G TRAINS. IF SO HOW LONG BEFORE?

It's advised to book the tickets in advance, especially for popular routes and on holidays, because they can be sold out soon. The official releases the ticket 15 days before the departure and it's advised to book then if the trip is scheduled.
