About:10-year China Visa for US and Canadian Citizens

10 year visa for Canadian

I have a Canadian passport that expires Feb 2034. Can I get a 10 year visa? Also I intend to spend 3 days in China before taking a train back to HongKong. Will I need to provide an itinerary for my 3 day stay in China?

Adding more information to the question asked above....I am flying into HK, taking train to Shenzhen for a few days , then train back to HK and flying to Tawian and then back to Canada.

The longest visa validity you can get should be the same with your passport. Once your passport expires, the visa also expires. And yes, you need to show the basic itinerary like flight and hotel arrangements of the first entry.

Jennifer, if your passport expires prior to the expiration of your China Visa, you can carry your old passport with you with the China Visa along with your new unexpired passport. You present both passports to the immigration officer on arrival to China. They will accept your valid China Visa and allow entry. I've done this multiple times as I have a 10 year multiple entry visa for China as a US passport holder.
