About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Trip from Jeju, South Korea to Malaysia, transit at Shenzhen Bao’an Airport for 15h 10m

Hi, i am Malaysian passport holder. As I know, all Malaysians do not require a visa before entering China. But I am confuse since the airlines give me a notice that mention "transit visa may be required in SZX". Do I need to apply TWOV or not?

Thanks in advance.

Nabila, you as a Malaysian citizen do not have to bother with any kind of TWOV scheme because all you need is your passport to enter China absolutely visa free. There is one formality, but this one apply to all the foreigners entering China and that is a Chinese arrival card that will be dispensed on board of the flight from Jeju to Shenzhen. You will fill it out and when you land in Shenzhen, you will just proceed to the immigration with your passport and the filled out arrival card. This is all you need. No 24, no 72, no 144 hour TWOV apply to you.

It is true that the airlines generically send to the passenger details regarding the visas, but they (airlines) do not look who needs a visa and who does not. They simply send that to all. Not of your concern whatsoever. Have a nice journey.
