About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Jeju-Shanghai-Chiang Mai by Eastern Airlines, is it possible to transfer visa-free 24 hours

It takes about 13 hours to transfer from Shanghai to Jeju-Shanghai-Chiang Mai by Eastern Airlines.I'm going to go out to the city and come to the airport at this time. What documents do I need at this time?Or is it possible to transfer visa-free for 24 hours without documents.For your information, we are using Eastern Airlines for all sections on the same course round trip.

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa or any other documentation with the exception of your flight tickets. Now, to be allowed to exit the airport you will approach 24/144 hour visa free transit counter immediately upon your landing in Shanghai where you will apply for a temporary entry permit. Here you will present your ticket for Chiang Mai. Since your layover is a longer one, I would say that your chances to be allowed to exit the airport are really very, very good.
