Requirements for application for x1 visa

I received my admission notice and JW202 form via email from my university in China. I'm planning to apply for an X1 visa to study in China. Do I need to provide the original hardcopy of the JW202 form, or are the electronic copies I received via email sufficient for the visa application process?
