Sophia, since some time the citizens of the Philippines had a poor record as far as granting a Shenzhen visas are concerned, however the situation has significantly improved recently to the level that I can recommend you to apply because your chances to be granted a Shenzhen VOA are currently very good especially when accompanied with your Hong Kong based husband. I advise you to arrive at Lo Wu (Luohu) border crossing at least until 08:30 in order to avoid the queues that inevitably form at some time. The price of visa is 130 CNY and the payment is by card. If you plan to travel by car, then Huanggang border will be your best choice.
