Visa exemption policy for Swiss citizens

Hello

I am traveling with the Highspeed train from Luang Prabang (laos) to Kunming. I read that there is 90 minutes to cross the Laos-China border. Will this work with the current visa exemption rule? I am nervous to cross the border at the train station. We should be able to visit China for up to 15 days without a visa currently.
