About:10-year China Visa for US and Canadian Citizens

I BOOKED A 7 DAYS JAPAN CRUISE FROM SHANGHAI THIS NOVEMBER 2-9, 2024.

I'M FROM USA, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT'S KIND OF CHINA VISA THAT I HAVE TO APPLIED.

There is the 144-hour visa free transit you can utilize if you will stay in Shanghai for less than 6 days. You can fly from the USA to Shanghai, and apply for the 144 with your cruise ticket to Japan. And will the cruise tour end in Shanghai? If you plan to return to USA from Shanghai after the cruise tour, you can apply for another 144.
