Can we buy 2 adult tickets for soft sleeper with 2 compartment for a family of 4?

2 adults travelling with 2 kids, which their ages are under 6 years old. Can i buy 2 adult tickets for soft sleeper with 2 compartment? Do kids need to pay for a ticket, or can they just sahre the space with parent? (T110 train from Shanghi to Beijing)
