Travel to Guangzhou for business, via HKG?

I am travelling from Canada with a Chinese (M) visa. I have business in Guangzhou, is it okay for me to fly into HKG and then take the train to Guangzhou? Do I need a separate visa for HKG?

It's OK and you don't need a separate visa for HKG as Canadians can enter HK visa-free and the transit is also visa-free.
