About:China Visa on Arrival

Canadians, visiting Zhuhai from HKG

Hello!

We’re Canadians, hoping to take a 3-day trip from HKG to Zhuhai via HZMB. To obtain the VOA for Zhuhai, do we need to present our return bus tickets to HKG? Also, is RMB still the only form of payment for the VOA, or is credit card accepted now?

You can easily obtain Zhuhai VOA at HZMB bridge - Zhuhai section. In general, there is no need to present a proof of your return ticket, but if asked, you will just reply that you will take the same mean of transport to travel back to Hong Kong. It is, however, advisable to have at least the first night booked in advance because you will be asked about your address in China. You will write down the name of your hotel that you have booked for the first night. The largest majority of overseas bank cards (credit and debit) are gladly accepted for VOA payments. Have a nice trip to Zhuhai.
