Holland and Australia passport holder to ShenZhen

Hi there,

My brother-in-law's family are holding Holland (Netherlands) ordinary passport an I have Australian ordinary passport.

We would like to spend a one-day trip to Shenzhen via Hong Kong

Could you please advise if we need a Visa? If not, can you enter Shenzhen via any port or transportation from Hong Kong please? Thanks

If you plan to visit Shenzhen on or after July 1, you do not need any kind of visa and you can use any port to entry and exit Hong Kong in the way you wish.

If you plan to visit Shenzhen before July 1, the citizen of Netherlands can use any border crossing and does not need a visa, but Australian needs one at the price of 130 CNY and can enter on Lo Wu (Luohu), Huanggang and Shekou border crossings only. However, he/she can exit using any border crossing and any mean of transport back to Hong Kong.

To conclude, I would advise you to visit Shenzhen on or after July 1 and you will enter China, Shenzhen included absolutely visa free using any border crossing and using any mean of transport, high speed train included.
