Cruise ship passenger leaving from Shanghai airport

I am arriving in Shanghai by cruise ship and leaving from Shanghai airport. Do need a visa to leave?

If the cruise ship comes from country A and you will fly to country C, then you will be covered by the 144-hour visa free transit and don't need a visa.
