About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

Do Indonesian need to apply visa for visit Hainan?

Hi I am from Indonesia, I have plans to go to Hainan for visit my friend in 5 days. Do I need to apply the visa?
Currently I work in Hong Kong. I was asked the China embassy in Hong Kong, they said I need to apply the visa. Please give me the correct information. Thank you.

You can apply for the 30-day visa-free access and the regulations say you need to register in a travel agency in Hainan but the recent cases of independent travelers obtaining it successfully tell us that the registration is not a must. You can contact the Hainan visa office in advance to see if you can get one without registering a agency or to be on the safe side, you can apply a visa in advance.
