About:Visa on Arrival

VOA application success for Indonesia passport

Hi, as you mentioned in several questionsa above that Indonesia citizens had 'somewhat mixed success'. Could you elaborate what is the mostly reason why they got rejected & could you kindly share the tips & trick or any requirements needed that we need to prepare to avoid the visa rejection. Thank you so much

Chinese visa/border officials almost never disclose the reasons for rejection, so it is hard to even speculate about it. All I can suggest you is to avoid overland border crossings (Huanggang and Lo Wu) and to take Shekou crossing instead. In other words, I suggest you to take the first available morning ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou and to apply for 5 days Shenzhen VOA there. When you reach Shekou you are practically already in Shenzhen, so the authorities there are reluctant to reject the applications. Also, it is quite convenient to have an accommodation booking confirmation for your accommodation in Shenzhen (at least for the first overnight) to strengthen your application.
