About:International Trains from/to China

Is the train running again from Urumqi to Almaty? How should I get to Urumqi from Ulaanbaatar?

I am struggling to find booking information on the website. I would like to book my train as soon as possible as i must apply for China visa.

No train from Urumqi to Almaty at present and there is only the train from Ulaanbaatar to Erlian. From Erlian to Urumqi, you need to take a train with a transfer at Baotou.
