About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vietnam- Guangzhou - Beijing- Russia

On April 17th, 2024, I will be travelling to China. My arrival destination will be Guangzhou, from Vietnam. I have already made a hotel reservation in Guangzhou, and I plan to stay there for five nights. After my stay in Guangzhou, I will be travelling to Beijing, where I will only be staying in the airport zone. From there, I will be flying to Russia. My total stay in China will be 127 hours. I wanted to know if I am eligible for a 144-hour visa-free stay, and if it is possible to enter China through the port of Guangzhou and exit through Dixin (Beijing). I am holder NZ and Russian passports

No, unfortunately your itinerary is not eligible for 144 hour visa free transit scheme. One of the rules of 144 hour visa free transit scheme clearly says that you are not allowed to have two mainland China destinations in a row regardless of their nature. I'm sorry.
