Buying train ticket online

Hello,
As I read Chinese, I want to buy train tickets online by myself but I keep having problem on identification verification where I need to upload my passport page & a photo of me holding the passport. The system is either busy or that it got through but still ask for verification when I want to buy the train ticket? Is there any tips of how to do it right?
Also, I understand that I can use the Chinese railway mini apps through Alipay to buy train tickets. Do you know whether Alipay charge a service fee? If there's one, how much is the fee?

Generally, a Chinese mobile number is needed and check if you have one. Alipay doesn't charge service fee as I know.
