About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Guangzhou to Hong Kong by train

Hello. I have a direct flight from Moscow to Guangzhou, and I am a Russian citizen. I would like to travel from Guangzhou to Hong Kong by train from Guangzhou East Railway Station on the day of arrival. In accordance with the Visa-Free Transit Policy, I have the right to take advantage of the 144-hour visa-free transit and leave China through 32 open checkpoints, including the Guangzhou Tianhe Railway Port. But the problem is that none of the railway ports are listed on the IATA website in Timatik, only the airport, land port or ferry crossing. You can clarify the information.

Thanks

Hi, the Tianhe Railway Station used to be available for normal speed trains from Guangzhou to HK, which is applicable to 144-hour visa-free transit. However, it stopped service several years ago so now train is not an available option for the visa-free transit. You can only take a ferry as it is okay for you to get a ferry ticket before boarding a plane.
