About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Use of 72hr visa-free and 144hr visa-free as part of same trip

Good morning,
my family and I hold British and Italian passport, hence are eligible for both 72 hr and 144 hr visa-free transit.

Our itinerary is as follow Manchester -> Beijing -> Kuala Lumpur -> Penang -> Hong Kong -> Beijing -> Manchester.

Our first stop in Beijing will be from 2am on April 19th to 2am on April 21st (hence within 72 hrs) and second stop in Beijing, upon return from Hong Kong (which I understand qualifies as country A), will be from 2pm on May 3rd to 2am on May 7th (hence within 144 hrs). Would it be ok to use both 72hr visa-free and 144 visa-free permit as part of this journey?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi, both of your trips are eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit so you don't need any visa. Just enjoy your trip :)
