About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Free VISA to Haikou via layover in Hong Kong??

We will be coming to Haikou for 10 days.....if we stop in Hong Kong (short layover), will we need a visa for Hong Kong?? I understand too that we need to apply with an agency to get our visa for Hainan island....where do I find a reputable agency to help me?

No, American citizens can enjoy at most 90-day visa-free visit to Hong Kong so no visa is needed. As for registering a travel agency, it is not required now. You can just hold your passport, round-trip tickets and hotel reservations to enter Hainan directly.
