Visa on Arrival

Looking a flying to HK landing at 3pm
What’s the best way to get into Shenzhen and get the visa on arrival. As I see most places shut at 16:30.

Unfortunately, it is practically impossible to reach any border crossing until 16:30 when all of them close. In other words, you are advised to have an overnight in Hong Kong and then to take a train to Lo Wu (Luohu) border crossing, but to be there at 09:00 because of the congestion or even better to take the first ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou port in Shenzhen. Shekou visa office opening hours: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30.

Please, have in mind that the visa on arrival price for UK citizens is relatively steep 834 CNY due to reciprocity.
