About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

HCM to Xiamen to Los Angeles

If my trip is from Los Angeles to Ho Chi Minh, then to Xiamen for 72 hours to Hong Kong can I use the 72 hour visa in Xiamen??
Or the alternative going from LA to HCM to Xiamen to LA??

Both itineraries you have presented:

Ho Chi Minh - Xiamen - Hong Kong

and

Ho Chi Minh - Xiamen - Los Angeles

Are definitely and undeniably eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Xiamen. It is 144 and not 72 hours in Xiamen.
