About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

144 hours visa free entry

Where are the machines to print the arrival card located please? (I have submitted my application online already). And what's the next step after printing the arrival card at the self-help machine? Do we have to go through a special custom desk or just any? Thx

Please, just be relaxed with arrival/departure cards. You will get one onboard the plane or at the airport upon your landing. You should not be burdened with this detail. Also, I do not understand why did you bother about this application when French citizens can enter China visa free? Indeed, French citizens, along with the citizens of other 4 EU countries can enter China visa free starting from December 1st of this year. So, you will enter China in the same way as if you were traveling to, for example, UK. In other words, when you fill out your arrival/departure card, you will proceed directly to immigration. Nothing more than that :)

Thanks for your answer. I was thinking of using the 144h Visa free entry. Is what you mention for French residents different to that? Many thanks

French citizens just need to fill out the arrival/departure card and that's it as far as the formalities are concerned. As a French citizens you will just proceed from the plane with your passport and arrival/departure card to immigration and you are done with the formalities. You should not bother yourself with 144 or anything else of this kind. As I have told you, an entry to China is in your case the same as if you were traveling to UK. OK, you will just fill out a simple arrival/departure card and you are free to enjoy your time in China.
