shenzhen to zhuhai

Question

Hi, I hold a Australian passport and plan to go from Hong Kong to Shenzhen and apply for the visa on arrival. Can I then go from Shenzhen to Zhuhai within the 144 hours and not need to apply for a new visa? or is it 2 different VOA for the 2 cities. Thanks

No, you cannot travel from Shenzhen to Zhuhai on Shenzhen visa. You can travel just to a place outside of mainland China. In other words, you can take a direct ferry from Shenzhen to Macau and then cross to Zhuhai by applying for Zhuhai VOA. So, yes, Shenzhen and Zhuhai have two separate and unrelated visas that can only be obtained by arriving from a place that is not a mainland China. Also, when leaving Shenzhen or Zhuhai, you have to travel to a place outside (different than) of mainland China.
