new Zealand citizens request day visa from Hong Kong to Canton

my wife and I are New Zealand citizens travelling Auckland to stay in Hong Kong. We want to travel by train from Hong Kong to the Canton trade fair. We would be returning each day back to Hong Kong. Can we be issued 24 hour day visas each day we attend the trade fair.

Actually, there is no such thing as 24 hour day visa. To be even more precise, you cannot do what you are planning to do without a Chinese visa obtained in advance.

My suggestion is that you change your travel plans and to fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, stay there for up to 144 hours based on 144 hour visa free transit and then exit to Macau by ferry from Shekou port in Shenzhen. This is valid if you want to fly in and out of Hong Kong. If you need additional explanations in this regard, just write it here.
