Can a British citizen apply for a China tourist visa in Sri Lanka?

Hello, I am a British citizen, retired, and I would like to ask if I can apply for a 6 month or 12 month multi-entry China tourist visa at the China visa centre in Colombo, Sri Lanka. If yes, then what is the cost? Very many thanks.

Do you stay there for a longtime? If not, it is hard to apply for a Chinese visa there.

Hello Gloria and thank you for your reply. I reguarly visit Sri Lanka on a toruist visa, valid for 6 months, and usually stay 3-6 months when I visit Sri Lanka. I am not resident in Sri Lanka. I am a British citizen and I am resident in the United Kingdom. So do my circumstances mean I can apply for a China Tourist visa while I am on vacation in Sri Lanka? I am an old age pensioner, 66 years of age.

It may be a little hard for you to apply for a Chinese visa in the third country. Generally, the rejection rate would be high and it is still suggested to apply for it in the UK.
