About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

I plan to fly into Guanzhou for 3 days then 2 days Shenzhen

Thereafter I Want to proceed to Hong Kong preferably by Train for a week before flying home from there.
Is the exit by land/ train within 6 day period permissable with my flight home to 3rd country a week later??

Your itinerary is eligible, but you will have to change one very important detail!

You should have in mind that exit by train is not permitted. It used to be and some stations are still designated as eligible, but since there is no conventional train any more, trains are not eligible because of some specific details regarding the border control in West Kowloon train station in Hong Kong.

Your solution is to take a ferry from Shekou port in Shenzhen directly to Hong Kong. You will buy your ferry ticket through CKS - Chu Kong Passenger Company website even before you take a flight to Guangzhou. You will printout your ticket and keep it with you in hard copy. This is your proof that you are in real transit. Also, you will have to take exactly that ferry you have bought your ticket for.

In the end, you should be aware that you cannot arrive into Guangzhou by flight from Hong Kong or from any other city within mainland China.
