About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Copenhagen - Tokyo - Shanghai - Tokyo - Copenhagen

I plan to go fly from Copenhagen to Japan, and from there fly to Shanghai for a tradeshow 3 days, return to Japan and then back to Copenhagen. Can I qualify for the 144hr visa-free transit?

No, you cannot because it is a return trip from Tokyo and back to Tokyo. The eligible way is like Copenhagen - Shanghai - Tokyo, departing from A to B (Shanghai), and leave for C.
