About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 HOURS TRANSIT VISA (Gothenburg - Copenhagen - Shanghai and back)

Is it allowed to go to China with a 144 hours transit Visa if I travel from Gothenburg through Copenhagen and then to Shanghai? And back 5 days later.

Actually, this is 144 hour visa free transit, so there is no visa at all.

To understand how this option is functioning it is important to have just one detail in mind. The only thing that matters is that the immediate points before and after your Chinese destination, in your case Shanghai, have to be in two different countries.

So, if your departing immediate point before Shanghai is Copenhagen in Denmark, your immediate point after Shanghai cannot be Copenhagen in Denmark again because it would be a return journey and not a transit. So, if the immediate point before Shanghai was in Denmark, then a returning immediate point has to be in some other country like in Sweden or Finland or any other country different than Denmark.
