Visa extension issues

I need an urgent advice, I have a visa that expires in 3 days , can I get an extension before it expires and what is the penalty for overstaying

You may try to extend it at local entry and exit bureau. As I know, the penalty for overstaying is CNY500 per day not to exceed CNY10,000.
