China Mainland Train Tickets

1. If I have overshot the train station of the ticket arrival station I purchased, can I disembark at the next station or can I take a next train back to the station with the same ticket?

2. In case I decide to change my destination halfway through my journey in the train, can I just get off the train at an earlier stop than the train station shown on my ticket.

1. If you overshot the train station, you need to pay for the ticket to the next station. You cannot take a train back to the station you planned without buying another ticket.

2. Yes, you can get off at any earlier stop but the ticket will be invalid immediately.
