Hello, Can I apply for a Z visa from withing China mainland, giving that I am here with a valid busniess visa type M and I obtained a notice of work permit in my home country before coming to China?

It is better to confirm with the local entry and exit administration bureau because some cities allow this kind of visa transfer but some don't.

Thank you @Terry for your reply. Would you please tell me the steps that you had to take? I was told today that I could apply for the work permit and residence permit at the same time and I dont need a Z visa. Was this the same situatuion for you?
