About:10-Year China Visa for UK Citizens

switching passports

Hi I have a residence permit previously on my US passport (none on my UK passport), however now i have moved back to the UK i would like to apply for a 5yr visa China in my UK passport ... is this possible?

It's possible. Submit the residence permit in your US passport, too.
