About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying to Honk Kong to catch a cruise ship..need a visa?

We are both Canadian citizens and residents over 70 years old going on a 28 day cruise with HAL. We leave Regina Sk on November 8 and land in Hong Kong November 9..we have a hotel (Cordis ) booked for 2 nights before we board the Westerdam ship on November 11..sailing out on November 12. Do we need a tourist visa? Our nearest China visa centre is a 10 hour drive from us in Calgary Alberta. Can er use the postal service or just we make a personal visit? Our cruise doesn't make any stops in China other than boarding in Honk Kong.

You don't need any visa because Canadian passport holders can enjoy at most 90 days visa-free to visit Hong Kong.
