About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Malaysian passport fly from Singapore to Osaka but transit 20hour in Xiamen.

Does it need to get china visa before buy this flight ticket?
If no go out of airport during transit, is it allowed?

Unfortunately, Malaysian citizens have to obtain a Chinese transit visa in advance when traveling via Xiamen airport. Xiamen airport is specific (with some less know ones) in this regard. Otherwise this type of visa would not be required. For Xiamen, it is a must in your case. I'm sorry.
