About:China Visa Application in UK

Hotel Booking.

My niece works in Shanghai and we are intending to visit and stay with her in March 2024. To get a visa application do we have to have a hotel booked? Does this booking have to cover the whole of the stay or will 1 night be sufficient?

No, if you have an invitation letter from your niece, there is not need to provide hotel bookings adn flight information any more.

Thank you but Sadly that’s what we thought but her father who is due to go out in the next couple of months was advised an invitation letter wasn’t valid and they had to book hotel? Just wandering if anyone had had this before?
