Consulate Appointment for 10-Year Multiple Entry Visa

I intend to apply for a 10-year multiple entry business visa soon, but I read that I should go to the "consulate that has jurisdiction over my residence region." Does it matter which Chinese consulate location I book an appointment with for my visa, or can I visit any location convenient for me? I haven't seen anything about certain consulates covering certain US regions, but I could have simply missed it.

You need to make an appointment with the consulate in charge of the visa issurance of your residence region. You can see here which consulate you should go: www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/united_states.htm
