About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Guangzhou - Hong Kong by train

I have a Belgian passport but no Chinese visa. I am arriving in Guangzhou on 18.09.23 morning and plan to get the 144-hour visa and 'transit through' to take the train from Guangzhou station to Kowloon Hong Kong. Is that ok? So not going to use ferry or flight so obviously not the same port/airport as where I landed

Hi, the high speed train is not eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit. You do need to take a flight, or a ferry to HK to meet the demands of the visa-free transit. Otherwise, you need to apply for a visa in advance.
