About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

jakarta - xiamen - tokyo

Hi I'm Indonesia paspor holder, my flight route is Jakarta - Xiamen - Tokyo with transit duration 20h in Xiamen. I did not plan to go outside the airport (passing the immigration). Do I still need the 24H Visa Free Transit? or I still need to leave the airport first and go back to the airport (as long as I pass the immigration first)?

You are eligible for 24-hour visa free transit, so there is no need to apply for a transit visa beforehand. If you don't plan to leave the airside, you don't need to complete any immigration procedures.
