About:Getting to Urumqi

Bus Almaty - Urumqi

Do you know if there are busses from Almaty to Urumqi? We're not sure if they're running again after covid.

No, there are no direct buses. You need to make several transfers and the best port to use is Khorgos. The recomended itinerary is: Almaty - Zharkent - Khorgos - Urumqi.
