About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Separate Round Trip Tickets to qualify for 144-Hour Visa-Free?

I am looking at one round trip ticket from US to Shenzhen arriving 22AUG with a return flight to US on 01SEP. If I purchase a separate round trip ticket Shenzhen to Taiwan departing 26AUG, returning to Shenzhen 27AUG will this qualify me for 2 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit allowances?

Your entire itinerary is perfectly eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in entire Guangdong province twice. Having two separate return tickets is fine and allowed within this scheme. Also, you will just use smart presentation not to confuse anybody. In other words, you will tell in both US and Shenzhen (first arrival) that you are traveling from US to Taiwan via Shenzhen using 144 hour visa free transit. Also during your second departure toward Shenzhen, you will tell in both Taiwan and Shenzhen (second arrival) that you are traveling from Taiwan to US via Shenzhen using 144 hour visa free transit.

This is all perfectly fine and you will enjoy entire journey.
