About:Visa on Arrival

Where to Get the VOA? Only ports?

Hello and thank you for the useful information.
It is possible to apply for the VOA arriving by train/ metro in the train station or is required to arrive in a port?

Yes, it is possible, of course. You can reach Luohu (Lo Wu) border crossing by metro/train and apply for a visa at visa office located there. Anyway, this is not recommended these days because of the congestion and the limited number of visas that can be issued within a day. This is the reason why I always recommend taking a ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou port in Shenzhen. It is less crowded and you will obtain a visa in a more convenient and faster way. Just take care of the opening time of Shekou visa office: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30.
