About:China Family Reunion Visa

Q 1 visa

I am an Australian citizen my wife is Chinese. We are both in Australia and going back to china When we leave Australia will not arrive China for about 3 months. If I apply for q1 visa in another country I read that you require proof of residency in Australia
Is this a requirement ? And what documentation is required

Generally, it is recommended to apply this kind of visa in your home country, Australia. It is possibly rejected if applying in the third country.
