Buy a ticket

Is it possible to buy a ticket for the forbidden city and the heaven temple in advace in order to avoid queue?

As I know, booking online is must and no ticket is available at the spot. However, July and August are travel peak time and it is hard to snag tickets. It is suggested to book as early as possible.
